The Scout solid-state recorder is an ultra-small, rugged,
tactical pre-demodulation data recorder designed to
capture up to 40 MHz of spectrum for 30 minutes. A
removable flash storage pack supports quick and easy
installation and replacement of storage media. The Scout
is offered with 70 MHz analog IF input interface option.
Command and control is implemented through a USB
interface. Recorded data may be accessed through the
USB interface or by connecting the DRS removable fl ash
storage pack to a workstation.

The DRS Signal Recording Technologies RDA-100
Recorded Data Access system solves the problem of
managing the large amount of data collected by an
Eagle recorder by delivering an Eagle-optimized storage
and data management solution. The RDA-100 provides
rapid and easy transfer of user-selected data fi les from
Eagle or Transportable recorders. The system provides
the capability to store recorded fi les in a large RAID
disk library or to back them up to high-speed LTO-3
tape. Access to the data files is available via network
connections or directly by user applications through the
open Linux operating system. The addition of the RDA-
100 to the wideband signal recording CONOP provides
a cost- effective, high-performance way to manage your
Eagle data with high reliability.
The DRS Signal Recording Technologies RDA-300 sFPDP/VRT Recorder provides the capability to record multiple VITA49 VITA Radio Transport (VRT) formatted streams over a 2.5GBPS Serial FPDP interfaces. The system provides the capability to store recorded files in up to a 36 TByte disk library. Data access to the recorded information can be via a direct access through the open Linux OS or via network file access using FTP or NFS. Playback over the VRT interface will be supported in future releases.
The DRS Signal Recording Technologies Model RDA-301
DECL/A12 Recorder provides the capability to record
or play back two 16-bit parallel differential ECL (DECL)
channels or two 12-bit analog channels. The system
provides the capability to store recorded fi les in a large
disk library protected by a redundant array of independent
disks (RAID). Recorded data may be directly accessed
through the open Linux operating system or via Gigabit
Ethernet network fi le access using fi le transfer protocol
(FTP), a network fi le system (NFS) or Windows (Samba).
The RDA-301 features up to 36 TBytes of storage.
The A12 module provides A/D inputs and D/A outputs for the Eagle T and Eagle 200/400 Recorder family. The A12 module supports sustained recording and playback at up to 200 Msps with up to 60 dB of dynamic range, yielding a high-resolution ADC and DAC for signals up to 100 MHz of bandwidth.
The A30 Multi Channel A/D-D/A Converter Subsystem accommodates up to 6 channels of concurrent recording and/or playback of signals ranging from 200 KHz up to 50 MHz in bandwidth to the Eagle T and Eagle 200/400 Recorder family. The analog to digital and digital to analog converter system features 8-,10-,12- and 14-bit resolutions. Two A30s can be attached to a single recorder, doubling the total number of record or playback channels.
The UWB500 module provides A/D inputs and D/A outputs for the Eagle Xpress recorder. The module support digitization of a 500MHz BW signal at a 1GHz IF at 8 bit resolution.
The Dual Channel OC-3 Optical Module plug in to the Eagle T and Eagle 200/400 Recorder family to provide clear bit recording from and playback to OC-3 fiber-optic sources. Multi-mode and single mode versions of each module are supported. Together, the system records or plays back data from one or two independent sources concurrently. Recorded information can be played back through the module for simulation or analysis, copied to tape, or transferred to workstations via FTP over standard Ethernet. The Dual Channel Optical Modules may be used with other I/O modules to provide versatility and flexibility.

Two independent channels of E4 data can be concurrently recorded to removable disks in separate files. Recorded information can be played back through the module for simulation or analysis, copied to tape, or transferred to workstations via FTP over standard Ethernet. The E4/CMI2 Module conforms to the ITU-T G. 703 standard for E4/CMI interfaces.
The PE170 is a Differential ECL (VRDI, DRTi DIM compatible) I/O module for the Eagle T and Eagle 200/400 Recorder family. It is capable of recording or playing back ECL data and clock rates up to 100 MHz at 16 bits wide.
The S4170 is a multi-channel serial clock and data RS422 I/O module for the Eagle T and Eagle 200/400 Recorder family. It is capable of recording or playing back RS422 data and clock rates up to 170 Mbps
The LVDS I/O module for the Eagle T and Eagle 200/400 Recorder family is capable of recording or playing back LVDS data and clock rates up to 100 MHz at 16 bits wide.
The Voice Annotation Module is a standard I/O module for the Eagle T and Eagle 200/400 Recorders. The Voice Annotation Module digitizes voice inputs at 48 KHz with 16-bit resolution to provide a 20 KHz bandwidth voice channel. The module provides one channel of monaural voice input or output through BNC and audio jack connectors.
The DDM is a Dual Differential ECL (VRDI, DRTi DIM compatible) I/O module for the Eagle Xpress recorder. It is capable of recording or playing back two channels of ECL data and clock rates up to 100 MHz at 16 bits wide.
The IRIG-B subsystem option for the Eagle 200/400 recorder family supports synchronizing group record operations with an external IRIG signal. It is also capable of playing back recorded IRIG.
The Eagle 200/400 Disk Pack provides easy expandability, when you reach capacity with one removable disk cartridge, just insert in a new one. It is currently available in 800 GByte capacity. Two disk packs are used in the Eagle 200/400 series recorders.
The Scout storage pack provides easy expandability, when you reach capacity with one removable disk cartridge, just insert in a new one. It is currently available in a 256GByte capacity solid state cartridge. One storage pack is used in a Scout recorder.
The Xpress storage pack provides easy expandability, when you reach capacity with one removable disk cartridge, just insert in a new one. It is currently available in 1.15 TBytes disk, 1.0TByte high performance solid state and 1.0TBytes standard performance cartridges. Two storage packs are used in the Eagle Xpress recorder.
Eagle T and Eagle 200/400 disk expansion chassis are available for added storage. The disk expansion chassis can also be used to interface Eagle T and Eagle 200/400 disk to RDA series products.
The LTO-3 Tape Interface subsystem connects to Eagle 200/400, Eagle Transportable & RDA products. The LTO-3 Tape Interface provides an efficient means to move Eagle data from the point of acquisition to high speed tape for subsequent transfer to another location. The LTO-3 Tape Interface addresses issues of security classification, media reusability, media cost and media transfer rate.
The RDA Tape Automation Library provides an efficient means to quickly and easily make copies of all or any portion of the RDA signal library contents for backup or distribution purposes. Mass transfer of selected playlists and their associated signal files is supported through the use of the RDA’s LTO4 tape automation library software. There are two tape library products in the DRS offering: The RDA-TAL-T24 provides 24 LTO-4 tapes, each tape holding up to 800GB, contained in two removable tape magazines for a total uncompressed storage capacity of 19.2 TBytes. The RDA-TAL-T40 provides 40 LTO-4 tapes, each tape holding up to 800GB, contained in four removable tape magazines for a total uncompressed storage capacity of 32 TBytes.
